Creating an account is quick and simple:

1. Click "Start Free - No Email Required" on the homepage
2. Choose a username and password
3. Answer 2 security questions and save your recovery code
4. That's it! No email, no verification, no BS.

Your account is ready immediately and completely private.

Nope. We only need a username and password. No email, no phone number, no personal information.

This keeps your data private and removes unnecessary friction from signing up. You can optionally add an email later in Settings if you want bill reminders and notifications.

During registration, you'll answer 2 security questions and get a recovery code. Keep that code safe!

To recover your account: Go to "Forgot Password" → Answer your security questions → Enter your recovery code → Set a new password.

Without email, this is your only way back in. No recovery code = no account recovery.

There are two ways to add transactions:

• Manual Entry: Tap the "+" button in the bottom nav, enter the amount, select a category, and save.
• OCR Scanning: Tap the camera icon, take a photo of your receipt, and let Trak30 automatically extract the amount and date.

Both methods take less than 10 seconds.

Income categories add money to your balance (salary, freelance, side hustle).

Expense categories subtract money from your balance (rent, groceries, subscriptions).

You can create custom categories for both in the Categories tab.

No! Email is 100% optional. You can use Trak30 completely anonymously with just a username and password.

Add your email only if you want to receive bill reminders and notifications. The app works perfectly fine without it.

Adding your email unlocks optional notifications that help you stay on track:

• Bill Reminders: Get notified 3 days before and on the day your bills are due
• Weekly Tracking Nudges: Gentle reminders to log your expenses (Sundays at 6 PM)
• Feature Announcements: Stay updated on new features and improvements

You control everything in Settings. Turn notifications on/off individually or disable them all.

After adding your email in Settings:

1. Check your inbox for a verification email from Trak30
2. Click the verification link
3. You'll see a success message and notifications will be activated

Note: The verification link expires in 24 hours. If it expires, go to Settings and click "Resend Verification Email".

Yes, anytime. Go to Settings → Email Address → Clear the email field → Save.

Removing your email will automatically disable all notifications. You'll return to fully anonymous mode.

We send three types of emails (all optional and customizable):

• Bill Reminders: Sent 3 days before and on the day your recurring bills are due. Only for bills you've set up in the app.
• Tracking Reminders: Weekly nudge (Sundays at 6 PM) to log your expenses. Choose daily, every 3 days, or weekly frequency.
• Announcements: Rare emails about major new features or important updates. We only send these when it really matters.

Control all notifications in Settings → Notifications.

Go to Settings → Notifications and toggle off any notification type you don't want. Or turn them all off at once.

You can also click "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any email we send.

Check these common issues:

1. Verify your email: Make sure you clicked the verification link
2. Check spam/junk: Emails from Trak30 might be filtered
3. Whitelist our email: Add notifications@trak30.com to your contacts
4. Check notification settings: Make sure the notification type is enabled in Settings

OCR (Optical Character Recognition) lets you scan receipts with your camera instead of typing manually:

1. Tap the camera icon when adding a transaction
2. Take a clear photo of your receipt
3. Trak30 automatically reads the amount and date
4. Review and save

Recurring bills help you track monthly expenses like rent, subscriptions, and utilities:

• Go to the Bills tab → Add Bill
• Enter the name, amount, and due date
• Trak30 tracks upcoming bills and reminds you (if you've added your email)
• Mark bills as paid when you pay them

Bills don't automatically add transactions—you still manually log expenses.

The Financial Health Score (0-100) is an automated estimate of your financial situation based on:

• Savings rate (income vs expenses)
• Spending consistency
• Bill payment patterns
• Emergency fund progress

• Self-Learning System: Creates keyword-based rules from your spending patterns. The more you use it, the smarter it gets
• Fast Processing: New categories are classified by AI within 24 hours, then instantly matched going forward
• Custom Categories: Works with any custom categories you create

How it works: When you add a transaction, the system first checks for matching keywords from your past spending. If no match is found, it's queued for AI analysis (runs daily at 2 AM). The AI then creates smart rules that automatically classify similar transactions instantly in the future.

No. Trak30 doesn't connect to your bank, which means:

• We never see your bank login credentials

We collect the absolute minimum:

No. Your data lives in the database while your account exists. When you delete it, it's gone.
